Worms: Armageddon introduction

Worms: Armageddon is oldschool Worms game released in 1999. You wouldn't say, but this game managed to keep a decent audience over the years, unlike most of the games from that age. People forget some older games because new games keep coming in at enormous frequency. For me, any game can be good, regardless of the genre, so around 8 years ago, I decided to give it a shot. Turns out the community is very big, if you know where to look. Around two years ago, after my six year solo career as a worms player, I met a player who's today my clanmate. He introduced me to something that seemed like a small forum, but it was actually a lot more. You can find the site here: www.tus-wa.com The site is a Worms community, a large group of passionate players who love making maps, organizing tournaments (some even with money prizes) and generally playing Worms:Armageddon. If you've ever played Worms, you'll know how the game basically works. Your team of worms has to beat enemy team with a set of weapons which varies by game scheme. If you've ever played using Ninja Rope, you may have noticed the tool can be using for various situations, maybe you've even figured how to use it to travel faster. After some time, when you learn how to use Ninja Rope, after a lot of practicing, you get to this level of skill:

Now this is me using the rope, but there are people who have simply stunning skills! I borrowed this picture from http://www.nolimitfreestyle.com (another Worms:Armageddon website) just to show you how good some people can get. Check this out!

Of course, these are just roping schemes, there are schemes (types of games with corresponding weapon sets) where Ninja Rope is not mandatory and you can win and compete by using the skills you've acquired in single player games (or later multiplayer games). I've managed to lose my mind thousands of times in this game, some situations can be hilarious, some painful to see, depends on which side you're on! :) Anyway, if you're having troubles finding it, it is available on Steam for a relatively low price. Multiplayer options are already set, you just need to choose your nickname and start playing, no password required. In later posts I'll demonstrate how to use the rope, introduce certain schemes etc. See you until then!
